Robots on the Moon
Robots on the Moon, is a children book that follows Blake and his dog, Archie, as they embark on a space adventure. Armed with their wits, a telescope, and a homemade spaceship, they blast off to the Moon to investigate the robots they've spotted. I illustrated the book, created character designs, and helped create the storyline.

Character Designs

Blake is a young boy and main protagonist in this children's book. Blake really loves space, and I really wanted to make him some space-themed pajamas.

Archie is Blake's beagle. I wanted to give Archie a simple but memorable design. Later on, I gave him an even more simpler design then the one above.

This page was fun to create because it was challenging to think about where the moon's light would hit.

This page represents the importance of recycling. This is a montage for Blake creating a rocket made from spare parts.

Above represents some of the things the moon would affect, if it went away. Birds migrating, and the ocean tides. I thought this was fun to create a page with minimal detail.

While working on this page I found it fun to think of different space decorations such as the little/big dipper posters and moon rug.

I enjoyed creating Blake's rocket. When I was a child I made box forts in the living room. I thought it would be fun for the body of the vehicle.

This was a fun page to create. It was fun to have some colored exhaust coming out of the rocket as it flew across space. The colors make it feel more exciting.
